Job Purpose/ Summary
Responsible for supporting the efficient and safe operation of coke oven processes to ensure continuous production and supply of quality coke as per plant requirements. The role involves monitoring operational activities, maintaining process parameters, coordinating with maintenance and production teams, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. The position also supports troubleshooting, process optimization, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production targets, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Job Description
The Engineer for Support Coke Oven Mechanical WML is tasked with ensuring the seamless and safe operation of coke oven processes, crucial for the continuous production and supply of high-quality coke in alignment with plant requirements. This role demands vigilant monitoring of operational activities and the maintenance of process parameters to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Engineer will collaborate closely with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and enhance equipment reliability. A key focus will be on driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and boost operational efficiency. The role also involves supporting process optimization efforts and contributing to the overall performance of the plant. The Assistant Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements while maintaining accurate production records. Additionally, the position requires proactive engagement in shutdown activities and strategic problem-solving to sustain productivity and operational efficiency.

Assist in the daytoday operation and monitoring of coke oven activities to ensure safe efficient and uninterrupted production of quality cokebrSupport coke oven charging heating regulation and pushing operations while monitoring process parameters to maintain operational stability and achieve production targetsbrCoordinate with maintenance and utility teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize operational downtimebrInspect operational conditions identify abnormalities and support troubleshooting and corrective actions to maintain optimal performancebrEnsure optimum utilization of raw materials and energy resources to enhance production efficiencybrMaintain accurate production and operational records ensuring compliance with safety environmental and statutory requirementsbrFollow standard operating procedures and support process improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the Metallics PlantbrContribute to shutdown activities and maintain productivity and operational efficiency through proactive engagement and strategic problemsolving
