Job Description

Meet Flent

Renting in India can be a nightmare. Think about it: visiting countless houses, arguing over rent, losing money to brokers, sticking to 11-month contracts, and spending lakhs of rupees into furnishing. It's a lot, and honestly, we deserve better.

This is where Flent comes in. We're creating a new standard of urban renting for India.

Imagine walking into a home that feels like it's straight out of a lifestyle magazine - fully furnished, beautifully staged, all you need to bring is your clothes and your vibe. No need to persuade landlords, no dealing with brokers, and no 11-month lock-ins. It's not just a vision; it's what we believe the top 1% in India truly deserves.

We started Flent because we were fed up. Trying to find a decent place in the city was a nightmare. But beyond the frustration was a deep-seated passion for home decor and an eye for detail that we couldn't ignore. Numbers revealed that $10 Bn is spent annually on urban renting — and that was the tipping point. It convinced us of the potential to craft the future of renting, designed for those who demand more and compromise less.

Flent is backed by top-tier VCs and angels. Since our inception in Jan'24, we've launched 110+ homes in Bangalore, went viral on X more than we imagined, and crossed $1,000,000 in annual GMV.

Meet Your Team

Hey - I'm Ashish Oberoi, and I lead Supply Growth at Flent. This is a supply-first role, and naturally, we'll end up working very closely—often day to day.

I've spent most of my career in Sales and Retail, building brands and revenue formats in environments that required both imagination and discipline. Over the years, I've gravitated toward roles where I enjoy spotting opportunities early, bringing different stakeholders onto the same page, and moving ideas forward through persuasion, clarity, and persistence.

At Flent today, a large part of my time - roughly 80% - is spent keeping the supply engine running and evolving. That means being in constant conversation with homeowners, builders, brokers, team members, and internal and external customers, while also staying close to the operational details that make supply actually work. I tend to care deeply about the small things - how processes fit together, where friction hides, and whether the steps we take today will still make sense a year from now.

This role comes from a very real place: supply is growing, the surface area is expanding, and there's more ground to cover than one person can reasonably do justice to. I'm looking for a reliable execution partner who can take ownership in areas where my time or context is limited and help strengthen the overall supply function.

About the Role

This is a core supply growth role, not a support function. You'll work closely with me to build and execute Flent's supply engine on the ground.

The role combines frontline sales with real market ownership. You'll take supply conversations from the first call to closure, represent Flent in the market, and bring back sharp, real-time insights that help us improve how we acquire and manage supply. Trust-building with landlords and strong follow-through are central to doing this well.

Over time, this role is designed to grow into broader ownership—covering micro-markets end to end and developing into a full-stack supply operator.

In simple terms, you'll be:

  • Owning supply conversations end to end, from outreach to signed deals
  • Acting as my on-ground execution partner and supply ambassador for Flent
  • Bringing market intelligence and judgment that improves how supply scales

What you'll broadly do:

Execution Core (80%)

This is where most of your energy will go—direct acquisition and ownership of the supply pipeline.

  • Own the Supply Funnel Take end-to-end ownership of the supply pipeline from first interaction to onboarding. Track daily movement, ensure no lead is dropped, and surface friction early so the funnel remains predictable and fast.

  • Landlord Conversations, Onboarding & Closures Run hands-on sales conversations with landlords—from first call to signed deal. Conduct outreach, manage site visits, handle objections with clarity, negotiate thoughtfully, and close efficiently.

  • Build Local Supply Relationships Develop active relationships with brokers, agents, and local ecosystem players in your micro-markets. The focus is on creating consistent deal flow and early visibility into upcoming supply.

  • Ground Truth & Market Immersion Spend time on the ground visiting properties and speaking directly with landlords and intermediaries. Use these insights to understand neighborhood dynamics and inform pricing, acquisition, and supply experience decisions.

Leverage Layer (20%)

This layer is about learning, pattern recognition, and improving how supply scales.

  • Supply Intelligence & Quality Enablement Build a strong understanding of landlord motivations and decision drivers. Identify patterns across conversations and markets to refine qualification, personas, and pricing inputs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with demand and product teams, sharing on-ground feedback to improve lead quality, conversion, and acquisition systems. Flag challenges early and help shape solutions.

  • Experiments & Continuous Improvement Continuously test and refine scripts, channels, and processes. Share learnings openly and contribute to improving the landlord journey week by week.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 1–3 years of experience in sales, supply, revenue, or growth roles - real estate, residential, retail, or hospitality exposure is a strong plus.
  • Is deeply execution-oriented - comfortable owning supply conversations end to end, from cold outreach and site visits to negotiation and closure.
  • Is strong on the ground - builds trust easily with landlords, brokers, caretakers, and senior decision-makers through clear, practical conversations.
  • Moves with pace and urgency without being pushy - knows how to keep deals moving while respecting the personal nature of real estate decisions.
  • Is curious and adaptable - learns markets quickly, reads people well, and uses on-ground insight to make better calls every week.

Educational qualifications don't matter to us at Flent. What does is your curiosity, your bias for action, and your ability to think deeply about people and systems. If you want to help build a world-class team and a culture worth fighting for — we'd love to talk.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

The total cash compensation for this role is upto INR 6 LPA. You'll be eligible for generous ESOPs & standard perks beyond the cash component.

The role is based in Indiranagar, Bangalore. We do not operate remotely, you should be based in Bangalore to be eligible for this role.

Our Values

It is very important for us that you go through the culture vibe of Flent before you think of applying. We constantly evolve as individuals and as an organization, but we aim to keep these values at the core of our functioning till the day this company exists.

The Hiring Process

We do not follow a fixed process for hiring at the moment. You'll be doing couple of calls or in-person interviews with all three co-founders. This might be paired with a time-bound assignment & a call with one of our investors. Overall, we guage your intellect, your curiosity and your vibe to figure out if you're the right fit for Flent.

It is difficult to respond to every application we receive, so you'll hear from us only when we want to proceed forward. And once that happens, we promise to complete the entire process within 1 week.
