Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Specialist to manage supply planning, inventory optimization, and material requirements planning across manufacturing and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring uninterrupted material availability, improving supply chain performance, and driving supply chain digitalization initiatives through analytics and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply & Inventory Planning
- Manage finished goods inventory levels across distribution centers and raw material inventory levels across manufacturing plants.
- Develop and maintain supply plans based on sales forecasts, demand trends, and business requirements.
- Ensure inventory optimization while maintaining targeted service levels and minimizing stock-outs.
- Manage inventory ramp-up and ramp-down activities aligned with forecasted demand and product lifecycle requirements.
- Establish and monitor strategic stock levels to mitigate supply risks and ensure business continuity.
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Execute and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities for raw materials and packaging materials.
- Generate and issue purchase requisitions through ERP systems to support procurement activities.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Review and balance supply-demand requirements to optimize inventory and production schedules.
- Production & Supply Coordination
- Release production plans to manufacturing facilities and coordinate dispatch plans with regional sales teams.
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production performance metrics.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
- Support timely product launches by coordinating with product development and commercial stakeholders.
- Supply Chain Analytics & Digitalization
- Measure and improve key supply chain performance indicators, including forecast accuracy, supply accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel to enhance supply chain visibility.
- Collaborate with digital transformation teams to automate reporting and improve operational decision-making.
- Analyze logistics costs, inventory policies, and supply chain performance to identify optimization opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights through data-driven analysis and reporting.
- Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify supply chain risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure resilience across the supply network through improved visibility and inventory management practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, service enhancement, and process efficiency.
- Participate in supply chain transformation and optimization projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, consumer goods, or related industries is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, and supply planning processes.
- Experience in supply chain analytics, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, inventory optimization, and production planning.
- Six Sigma certification or exposure to continuous improvement methodologies is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, and Demand Forecasting
- Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP modules related to Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and Production Planning
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools for supply chain analytics
- Experience in developing and monitoring Supply Chain KPIs, including Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turnover, Service Level, and Supply Accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data
- Knowledge of FMCG supply chain operations, production planning, and distribution networks
- Experience in supply chain digitalization, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with inventory optimization techniques, safety stock planning, and risk mitigation strategies
- Exposure to logistics cost analysis, warehouse operations, and network optimization
- Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
