This internship is designed for students or recent graduates. They will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of demand and supply, learning how tactical stock movements are planned to meet market needs and optimise warehouse efficiency. This role is an excellent launchpad for a career in Supply Chain Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stock Balancing & Inventory Support

  • Assist the S&OP team in tracking current inventory levels , across our network of distribution center.
  • Run standard inventory reports (e.g., Days of Supply, Stock Status) and highlight locations with potential excess or shortage risks.
  • Help prepare and document recommendations for inter-warehouse stock transfers (stock balancing) to optimise availability.

2. Dispatch Planning Assistance

  • Support the development of daily and weekly dispatch plans, ensuring the right products are scheduled for movement to the right warehouses based on sales trends.
  • Verify planning inputs, including the latest sales forecasts and current production outputs, to ensure accurate deployment recommendations.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics and Warehouse teams to ensure planned dispatches are executed smoothly and flag any potential delays.

3. Supply Chain Data & Analytics Exposure

  • Analytical Application: Apply basic analytical principles (like calculating variances, percentages, and summarising trends) to interpret raw supply chain data.
  • Reporting: Assist in creating and updating weekly performance dashboards in Microsoft Excel, focusing on inventory health, dispatch accuracy, and forecast vs. actual deployment.
  • S&OP Support: Prepare data summaries and presentation slides to support the team's participation in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning review meetings.
  • Process Documentation: Document key planning processes and analytical procedures to support team standardisation.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Analytical Aptitude
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must be comfortable using formulas, filtering, and creating Pivot Tables) and SQL.
  • Quick learner, highly organised, excellent attention to detail, and proactive communication skills.
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career in Supply Chain Planning and Analytics.
