Job Description

Basic Functions:

  • Inventory Management by ensuring accuracy of Demand & Supply forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the Inventory Reporting.
  • Create reports to give real-time visibility of Inventory in different locations and channels.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Provide input to the Supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

Job Functions:

  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to Inventory management.
  • Gather, analyse and validate data.
  • Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting and Supply & production planning.
  • Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts.
  • Provide input to volume planning (Latest Estimates / annual process)
  • Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion.
  • Review promotional plans with sales.
  • Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and Supply chain.

Years of Experience:

2 to 3 yrs

Education/Training:

Graduation / MBA (Preferred)

Specific Job-related Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Microsoft Office
  • SQL
  • Power BI (good to have)
