Buying & Merchandising Intern – Job Description

About the Role:
As the team continues to grow, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated interns to support activities related to New Product Development, Buying, Sourcing, and day-to-day merchandising operations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the retail and fashion industry while working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in retail, fashion, merchandising, and product trends, along with good coordination and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Buying & Merchandising team in New Product Development activities.
- Support sourcing and vendor coordination for product procurement and category requirements.
- Help manage product assortment planning and category-wise merchandising initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of tasks.
- Track product samples, approvals, and inventory-related updates.
- Conduct market and trend research to support category planning and buying decisions.
- Maintain merchandising data, reports, and product documentation.
- Assist in day-to-day operational and administrative activities related to merchandising and sourcing.
- Support the team in executing seasonal launches and category initiatives.
Eligibility & Skills:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Management, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong interest in fashion, retail, buying, and merchandising.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and merchandising processes is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning.
