This role is a part of the central formulations supply planning organization and is responsible for driving key actions for managing non-moving inventory in co-ordination with relevant functions to arrive on final decisions ranging from site transfer, liquidation or incineration
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic
- Develop and drive implementation of SLOB inventory management policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures leveraging best practices
- Monitor non-moving inventory across global DF plants, share timely updates with the leadership team and drive actions to optimize inventory holding cost & write-offs
- Responsible for setting, monitoring & achieving annual SLOB inventory targets in conjunction with planning targets
- Build collaborative relationships with the extended supply chain planning team, plant teams, finance and the Procurement & Logistics teams to understand drivers of inventory projections, challenge to achieve inventory targets, and highlight risks and opportunities
Operational
- Drive program management of SLOB inventory management opportunities that improve profitability through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvements on a cross functional basis
- Track & monitor progress of SLOB inventory management action-plan and drive intermittent issue resolution with supply chain planning, production and procurement teams to achieve targets
- Ensure non-moving inventory is provided by accounts to the respective plants in various buckets i. e. Rejected and/or Expired, Near Expiry and Others
- Facilitate discussions between production and QC teams at plants to decide on action-plan i. e. whether to increase shelf-life, transfer to API plants etc.
- Ensure inputs are captured from relevant teams regarding consumption visibility for non-moving inventory
- Co-ordinate plant CFT meetings to discuss status, action plan and jointly deciding on actions - site transfer, liquidation, incineration etc.
- Prepare & share timely reports with the leadership team on the status of SLOB inventory across DF global plants
- Create and utilize in-depth analytical tools to support issue resolution, decision making, and execution oversight for non-moving inventory management
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering/ Operations or equivalent qualification
- 2 to 5 years experience in production industry
