JD Supply Chain Analyst

Experience: 4 to 5 years

Location: Chennai

Working Mode: Work From Office

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to support key supply chain processes, including demand planning, inventory management, and performance reporting. The role will focus on developing analytical tools, improving forecasting accuracy, optimising inventory levels, and building performance dashboards to drive informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong statistical, ERP, and reporting expertise, along with experience in pharma or medical devices environments.

Must-Have Skills & Tools:

45 years of supply chain management experience, preferably in the Pharma or Medical Devices sector.

Strong experience in Demand Planning and Inventory Management.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP ECC, SAP B1, or similar).

Strong statistical analysis capabilities using Python, R, or similar tools.

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and reporting.

Expertise in building decision-support dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Excellent presentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience collaborating across regional/Asia markets.

Good to Have:

Experience building forecasting models from scratch.

Exposure to supply chain automation and process improvement initiatives.

Understanding of regulatory considerations in pharma supply chains.

Experience working in multi-country supply chain environments.

Responsibilities:

Demand Planning (40%)

Develop and manage tools to support the monthly demand planning process.

Design and maintain statistical forecasting models using historical sales data.

Incorporate commercial and marketing inputs into demand forecasts.

Analyze forecast vs business plan and highlight key variances.

Improve forecast accuracy by monitoring metrics such as Bias and MAPE.

Inventory Management (40%)

Define and monitor inventory norms using statistical analysis.

Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and expiring inventory.

Recommend actions to optimize inventory levels (MOQs, lead times, cycle stock).

Track inventory performance and support working capital efficiency.

Performance Reporting (20%)

Develop and maintain a Supply Chain performance scorecard.

Track key metrics including Bias, MAPE, OTIF, and COGS.

Extract ERP data and build dashboards using reporting tools.

Publish performance insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
