Supplier Quality Specialist

What You'll Do

• Design incoming quality inspection (IQI) checklists for pump controllers and

motor starters

• Define acceptance criteria: visual inspection, electrical parameter testing

(insulation resistance, contact resistance, operating voltage), dimensional

checks

• Set sampling plans based on AQL 1.0 (critical) and AQL 2.5 (cosmetic)

• Inspect 100% of incoming batches during the Q1 pilot phase

• Participate in factory audits alongside the Sourcing Manager

• Qualify vendor samples through Tibcon QA lab before commercial orders

• Manage non-conformance: issue hold notices, run CAPA, track defect

trends

• Maintain weekly vendor quality scorecards during Q1

• Ensure BIS/IS compliance (IS 8544 for starters, IS 3854 for contactors).

Who You Are

✓ 3–5 years in QA or incoming inspection in electrical manufacturing

✓ Experience with switchgear, starters, contactors, or panel assembly quality

✓ Hands-on with: megger, LCR meter, hipot tester, contact resistance meter

✓ Familiar with IS/BIS standards for low-voltage switchgear and motor control

✓ Can read electrical schematics and verify wiring against design specs

✓ Assertive — will reject non-conforming batches even under delivery

pressure

✓ Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

✓ ISO 9001 Certified Internal Auditor is a plus
