Boeing Supplier Quality is currently looking for a Supplier Quality Specialist to join their team in Bangalore, India. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.

This is a field representative position responsible for supporting suppliers in Bangalore as Supplier Quality Representative. However, additional travel may be required to support suppliers throughout India and Asia Pacific Region. The position will require a highly self-motivated individual, capable of being self-directed with minimal supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support duties and responsibilities assigned by management related to the supplier quality profile
  • Major responsibility is inspection and assessment of products produced from the supply base
  • Assist with audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products and also involve in documenting the audit and assessment results and in RCCA
  • Monitor and report supplier quality related performance status for the supply base
  • Position requires the implementation of supplier quality management processes including assessment of supplier capability, capacity and management of supplier performance in the technical areas of quality, schedule, performance and work statement compliance
  • Maintain quality, stability and flow for multiple programs in a fast paced and challenging environment from the supplier quality side and work cross-functionally with many different job disciplines at supplier/customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree or diploma in Engineering.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in APQP/manufacturing/inspection in airplane programs.
  • Experience in wire assembly, avionics. Aero structure, Machining commodities in the quality /Manufacturing function.
  • The position will require a willingness to facilitate and attend extra hours conference calls, working in shifts as part of a global team, etc. Excellent English language skills are essential.
  • Candidate must meet the requirements of Boeing Visual Standards for Product Acceptance, tested annually.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Work experience in aerospace manufacturing environment involving commodities and processes namely wire harness assemblies, manufacture/inspection/testing of avionics items, aero structural assembly, composites etc. are required. Certification in IPC training in IPC standards (610/620/J-STD-001), etc. are desired.
