The 3-year fixed term contract as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), will be responsible for ensuring high product quality, delivering customer value beyond expectations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing the cost of quality. In this role, you will act as the technical focal point for supplier-related activities, driving process control and quality assurance of purchased parts and components while strengthening collaboration between INNIO and its suppliers.

Your Responsibilities
- Act as the primary interface between suppliers in India and globally, and internal functions such as Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering to resolve technical issues and eliminate communication barriers
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality procedures, standards, and technical regulations
- Lead qualification projects for new parts and new suppliers, with a strong focus on failure prevention
- Participate in design and Tollgate reviews
- Drive initiatives to reduce product defects and cost of quality
- Lead root cause analyses and manage supplier deviation requests and non-conformities
- Support the search for new suppliers and lead supplier development activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to supplier assessments
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field of study
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, including supplier development experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
- Good knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Why
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and drive effective problem resolution
- Very good proficiency in MS Office
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within India
- Casting experience is preferred
