Supplier Quality
- Provide input to Design Engineering on new component technology and assist in component selection with quality and reliability analysis.
- Analyses incoming material defects. Dispositions and drives corrective action as necessary. Communicates issues to suppliers.
- Reviews new design specifications and provides input from component quality and manufacturability perspective.
- Investigates field failures related to supplier materials. Develop corrective action plan where necessary.
- Leads scheduled assessments of suppliers to assess compliance with Boston Scientific requirements, includes assessment preparation meetings and scheduling in advance of site visit, conducts and confirms follow-up actions on Supplier Quality System Assessments.
- Leads the process to assesses supplier capabilities through direct visits, technical discussions and Quality System Assessments and prepares detailed trip reports and Assessment Reports to document assessment findings and observations.
- Trains suppliers, assessors, and other Philips personnel on QA specifications for suppliers.
- Assists suppliers in formation of statistical sampling plans, inspection methodology, and quality procedures.
- Interfaces with the Procurement and Sourcing Specialists. Works with various partners to assess and address material quality issues.
- Applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues. Communicates quality issues to suppliers as needed and provides assistance to develop corrective actions.
- Participates with Corporate and regional Supplier Quality organization on policy/procedure/ guideline development, includes incorporation of this information into corporate and divisional programs through document reviews, protocol reviews, validation reviews, and training programs
Qualification: BE/BTECH ( ECE/EEE)
Experience: 5-8 years
