About Astrobase Space Technologies
Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. Driven by a vision to make India a Space tech powerhouse, we are developing innovative launch vehicles that will transform space exploration. At Astrobase, you'll be part of a team creating history in the Indian space industry. Our goal is to become the first private space company from India to land on the moon economically.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of engine components and assemblies.
- Verify compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Ensure dimensional checks and quality verification during assembly stages.
- Witness functional and mechanical tests.
- Supervise engine component assembly and integration activities.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitment, and installation of engine subsystems.
- Monitor torqueing, fastening, and mechanical integration processes.
- Ensure adherence to approved assembly procedures and drawings.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain traceability of parts, materials, and inspection records.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Mechanical / Aerospace / Automobile Engineering (minimum requirement for inspection roles).
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering (preferred for supervisory or engineer-level positions).
- ITI certification in trades such as Fitter / Machinist with additional training in quality inspection (suitable for technician-level inspectors).
- Specialized certification in Quality Assurance / NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) / Metrology adds strong value.
