Job Description
The Manager of Procurement is tasked with overseeing comprehensive procurement operations, ensuring the seamless acquisition of materials and services. This role demands a strategic approach to sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations, with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency and supplier performance. The manager is responsible for maintaining a consistent supply chain that adheres to quality and compliance standards. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is crucial to align procurement activities with business objectives. The role requires a global mindset to navigate international markets and leverage material handling technologies effectively. The manager will also drive initiatives for continuous improvement in procurement processes, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and agile in a dynamic market environment. Strong leadership and coordination skills are essential to manage cross-functional teams and foster a culture of excellence.

Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement and sourcing strategies to meet organizational goalsbr Identify evaluate and onboard new suppliers to enhance the supply chain networkbr Manage vendor relationships ensuring optimal supplier performance and reliabilitybr Lead price negotiations and finalize contracts with vendors to secure favorable termsbr Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support uninterrupted operationsbr Track market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvementsbr Manage procurement budgets exercising control over costs to align with financial objectivesbr Handle multiple vendors ensuring continuity of supply and mitigating potential risksbr Ensure compliance with established procurement policies and proceduresbr Coordinate with internal departments such as Production Finance and Stores to streamline procurement activitiesbr Prepare MIS reports and conduct procurement performance analysis to inform strategic decisionsbr Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes to enhance overall effectiveness
