Summer Intern

Company Description World Comics India is a grassroots organization that uses the medium of comics to promote social awareness, participation, and dialogue. The organization collaborates with communities, educational institutions, and civil society groups to help people tell their own stories through simple, impactful visual narratives. Through workshops, campaigns, and publications, World Comics India focuses on issues such as human rights, social justice, and local governance. Interns have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that combine creativity with social change. The work environment encourages learning, collaboration, and experimentation with visual storytelling.

Role Description The Summer Intern role at World Comics India is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi. The intern will support in content creation, designing, video editing, social media posts, video creation and posting, participate in workshop etc.

Qualifications

• Interest in visual storytelling, comics, or graphic narratives, with a willingness to learn basic comics-making techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or other Indian languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Delhi, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated interest in social issues, community engagement, or grassroots initiatives.
• Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, word processing, photoshop, in-design or presentation tools) and readiness to learn new tools as needed.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in social sciences, humanities, arts, media, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Openness to feedback, respect for diverse perspectives, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to assigned tasks.
