Substation Design Engineer

GreenOps is looking for a highly driven Substation Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Ahmedabad.

This role is suited for professionals who want exposure to high-impact renewable energy and utility-scale power infrastructure projects while working across both primary and secondary engineering for substations up to 220kV.

• Design AIS/GIS substations including:
• Equipment layouts
• Busbar arrangements
• Earthing systems
• SLDs and GA drawings
• Develop secondary engineering deliverables:
• Protection & control schemes
• Panel layouts
• Wiring diagrams
• Relay logic and SCADA interfaces
• Coordinate with civil/structural teams for foundations and support structures
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering reports
• Support engineering reviews, procurement, FAT, site execution, and commissioning activities
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, and utility standards
  

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in substation engineering
• Experience in AIS/GIS substations up to 220kV
• Strong understanding of:
• Protection systems
• Transformers
• CT/PT selection
• Earthing & insulation coordination
• Fault level calculations
• Familiarity with utility and renewable energy projects
  

• AutoCAD
• ETAP / DigSILENT
• PLS-CADD (preferred)
