Role: Subject Matter Expert - UPSC
Location: Trivandrum, Kerala
Responsibilities:
1. Content Strategy & Creation
- Simplify the Complex: Turn dense topics (like the Economic Survey or Budget) into student-friendly modules using flowcharts, diagrams, and clear summaries.
- Stay Current: Keep our curriculum living by updating materials in real-time based on PIB releases, PRS reports, and Government Gazettes.
- Editorial Contributions: Write for our monthly current affairs magazines and develop Value-Added Materials (VAM) that give students an edge.
2. Test Engineering & Analysis
- Question Design: Draft high-quality Prelims MCQs and Mains questions that mirror the actual UPSC difficulty level.
- The Gold Standard: Create Model Answers for Mains that demonstrate perfect structure (Intro-Body-Conclusion) to guide students.
- Trend Spotting: Analyze Previous Year Papers (PYPs) to identify high-probability themes and emerging patterns.
3. Quality & Collaboration
- Fact-Checking: Act as the final line of defense to ensure every date, data point, and fact is 100% accurate.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with graphic designers to visualize data and work with Trivandrum-based faculty to align classroom teaching with printed material.
- Archiving: Maintain an organized digital library of question banks and study resources.
Requirements:
- UPSC Experience: You have a deep, firsthand understanding of the CSE cycle. Candidates who have reached the UPSC Interview or Mains stage are highly preferred.
- Educational Background: A Master's degree in a core UPSC subject (History, Polity, Economy, Geography, etc.).
- Analytical Writing: You can write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using digital content tools.
- Local Presence: You are either currently based in Trivandrum or are ready to relocate.
