Subject Matter Expert (Finance)

Role Overview:

We're hiring finance professionals who know AP, AR, accounting close, or finance systems inside-out — and want to help shape how AI understands finance workflows.

In this role, you'll use your real-world experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Concur to create realistic finance scenarios, evaluate AI outputs, and improve the accuracy of next-generation AI systems.

What does day-to-day life look like

• Create finance workflow prompts and real-world accounting scenarios
• Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and reasoning
• Build synthetic invoices, bills, reconciliations, and GL datasets
• Identify edge cases such as duplicate bills, sync failures, policy violations, and GAAP errors
• Help improve AI performance across finance operations and controls

We're looking for:

Professionals with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Accounting & Month-End Close
• Controller / Finance Management
• Finance Systems Administration

Requirements:

• 4–12 years of finance/accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Bill.com, and/or Concur
• Understanding of US GAAP and finance controls
• Excellent written communication skills
• Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude
• CPA/CMA preferred (required for Controller-level roles)

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI evaluation, RLHF, or LLM projects
• ERP migrations, multi-entity or multi-currency exposure
• Basic Python or SQL skills

Offer Details:

• Commitments Required: 40 hours per week with overlap of 4 hours with PST.
• Engagement Type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
