Subject Matter Expert (Computer Science / CSE)
Job Summary
The IT Subject Matter Expert (CSE) will be responsible for providingacademic and technical expertise in Computer Science and IT, supporting curriculum development, faculty enablement, student learning outcomes, and industry alignment across educational programs.
Key Responsibilities
Academic & Curriculum Support
- Design, review, and updateComputer Science / IT curriculumaligned with industry standards and academic frameworks
- Ensure syllabus relevance for programs such asCSE, IT, AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering
- Develop lesson plans, lab manuals, assessments, and learning resources
Technical Expertise
- Provide subject expertise in areas likeProgramming, Data Structures, DBMS, OS, Networking, Cloud, AI/ML, Web Technologies
- Support practical labs, projects, and capstone programs
- Guide students on real-world applications, tools, and emerging technologies
Faculty & Trainer Support
- Train and mentor faculty/trainers on content delivery and technical updates
- Conduct faculty development programs (FDPs) and workshops
Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Create and validate assessments, question banks, and evaluation rubrics
- Ensure academic quality, learning outcomes, and accreditation readiness
Industry & Project Alignment
- Align curriculum withindustry requirements, certifications, and employability skills
- Support internships, live projects, hackathons, and placement readiness
EdTech & Digital Learning Support (if applicable)
- Collaborate with content, product, and tech teams fordigital course creation
- Review recorded lectures, LMS content, and online assessments
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundation inComputer Science and IT concepts
- Excellent communication and academic mentoring skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into learner-friendly content
- Awareness oflatest IT trends and technologies
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / PhD in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience inteaching, training, curriculum development, or EdTech
- Industry experience is an added advantage
