Job Description: Network Technician SME (Technical Manuscript Review)

Role Overview

This role serves as a technical authority for foundational networking educational content aligned to the CompTIA Network+ (N10-009) certification. The Network Technician SME Reviewer is responsible for validating the technical accuracy, scope, and exam alignment of prepared course manuscripts intended for entry-level and early-career networking learners.

Consistent with CompTIA Network+ expectations, this role focuses on technical accuracy review only. It explicitly excludes original content authoring, network architecture design, advanced engineering, enterprise optimization, or live environment configuration. The SME ensures that explanations remain vendor-neutral, technician-level, and aligned to CompTIA's exam objectives without over scoping beyond foundational competencies.

Technical Credentials

Active CompTIA Network+ certification strongly preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience aligned to Network+ scope may be considered.

Professional Experience

3+ years of experience working in network support, network operations, or network technician roles, with exposure to LAN/WAN, wireless, and basic security environments.

Communication & Review Skills

• Strong technical reading and editing skills
• Ability to clearly articulate corrections and rationale to non-SME stakeholders
• Comfort validating AI-assisted content against formal exam objectives and industry standards
