Subject Matter Expert - Academic

IIMBx Digital Learning Foundation is seeking to empanel Subject Matter Experts to contribute to the development and enhancement of our online learning programs. As an SME, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the academic rigor, relevance, and excellence of IIMBx courses. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with esteemed faculty members, instructional designers, and content production teams to create engaging and impactful learning experiences for diverse learner communities.

Key Expectations

1. Curriculum Design & Development:

Support the design and review of course structures, learning outcomes, and content flow to ensure academic depth and industry relevance.

2. Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all learning materials adhere to high academic and instructional design standards, integrating contemporary research, trends, and best practices in online education.

3. Learner Engagement:

Facilitate dynamic learner experiences by moderating discussion forums, responding to student queries, and encouraging meaningful peer interactions.

4. Live & Supplementary Sessions: Conduct live tutorial or supplementary sessions to deepen learner understanding and foster applied learning through interactive dialogue.

5. Assessment Design:

Develop robust evaluation tools including objective questions, caselets,subjective assessments, and detailed grading rubrics aligned with learning objectives.

6. Evaluation & Feedback:

Assess learner submissions and projects, providing constructive and timely feedback to enhance learning outcomes.

7. Continuous Improvement:

Stay abreast of emerging research, pedagogical innovations, and digital learning technologies to contribute to content refinement and improvement.

Time commitment

3-4 hrs per week, this is purely dependent on course load and requirement as decided by the IIMBx team.

Qualifications

• Academics with a Ph.D. and already teaching / have taught in the past.
• 5+ years of post PhD experience.
• Faculty working with private universities/colleges are welcome to apply too (many universities and colleges actively support their faculty for this since it is a WIN-WIN proposition)

Process

Shortlisted candidates would be asked to give an online AI driven interview and/or a recorded presentation. This would be followed by an interview and finalisation.

Payouts

Payouts would be as per the norms established by IIMBx Digital Learning Foundation.
