Role Overview
The Subcontracts Administrator supports the corporate Supply Chain group by managing end-to-end subcontracting activities. The role ensures effective execution of procurement and subcontract administration processes while delivering high-quality service and compliance across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify and evaluate subcontractors in line with project and organizational requirements
- Issue requests for information and requests for proposals to subcontractors
- Prepare subcontract documents and amendments, including incorporation of applicable flow-down requirements from prime contracts
- Conduct commercial evaluations of subcontractor proposals
- Issue properly authorized subcontract awards
- Manage subcontract activities from pre-award through closeout
- Address and resolve subcontractor claims in a timely manner
- Act as the primary point of contact between subcontractors and project managers
- Maintain accurate subcontract documentation and records
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of directly related subcontracts experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Federal Government contracts and subcontracts
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred
- Background in commercial and/or defense contracts is highly desirable
