The Section Head – Planning (Utilities & Engineering) is responsible for leading the planning and execution of all utility and engineering activities within the plant. The role ensures efficient operation, maintenance planning, and uninterrupted availability of utilities such as HVAC, power, water, and steam systems to support production. The role also involves experience in managing and executing greenfield textile projects.

Responsibilities:
Utility& Engineering Planning
- Lead planning and scheduling of all utilities and engineering activities.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans for utility equipment.
- Ensure continuous availability of utilities such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, and electrical systems.
Greenfield Project Management
- Manage and execute greenfield textile projects from planning to commissioning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for plant setup, installation, and utility integration.
- Ensure timelines, cost control, and quality standards are met during project execution.
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to align utility planning with plant requirements.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations with minimal downtime.
Performance Monitoring &Optimization
- Monitor performance of utility systems and drive efficiency improvements.
- Implement energy-saving and cost optimization initiatives.
Maintenance & Resource Planning
- Plan manpower, materials, and spare parts for maintenance activities.
- Optimize resource utilization to improve operational efficiency.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Promote best practicesin engineering and utility operations.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in planning systems and processes.
- Ensure effective use of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience is mandatory in Utilities & Engineering Planning.
- Experience in managing textile greenfield projects is highly preferred.
- Candidates from the Textile Industry are preferred.
- Candidates from Manufacturing Industries can also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of utilities such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, and electrical systems.
- Experience in maintenance planning (preventive & predictive).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ electrical engineering or related field.
