Mid-Day is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sub Editor / Junior Sub (News Desk) with 1 to 7 years of experience to join our team.
The News Editor will lead editorial coverage across news, features, and sports, ensuring accuracy, speed, and credibility in all content. Responsibilities include planning, commissioning, and editing stories across breaking news, lifestyle, culture, human-interest, and sports. The editor will oversee daily news operations, features calendars, and sports coverage, while coordinating with reporters, correspondents, photographers, designers, and multimedia teams to deliver impactful stories across formats. The role demands real-time publishing during breaking news and live matches, commissioning exclusive features, and delivering analytical and opinion pieces. A strong focus on digital-first journalism, social media integration, SEO best practices, and data-driven decision-making through analytics will be essential to drive reach and engagement.
