Role Description As a full-time Study Abroad Counsellor at Envision, you will work on-site from the Ahmedabad office, supporting students through the complete overseas education process. You will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand academic profiles, interests, and career goals, and recommend suitable countries, universities, and programs. Daily responsibilities include guiding students through application requirements, documentation, and deadlines; coordinating test preparation and language proficiency requirements; and providing detailed information on admission criteria, scholarship options, and financial planning basics. You will also assist with visa documentation, interview preparation, and pre-departure orientation, while maintaining accurate records of student interactions and application progress in internal systems. Collaboration with internal teams and university partners, participation in education fairs and outreach events, and regular follow-up with students and families are key parts of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong student counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess academic profiles and guide learners toward appropriate programs and universities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills to engage effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple applications, deadlines, and follow-ups in a structured manner.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM or student management systems to track interactions and application status.
- Knowledge or strong interest in international education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements for key destinations (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe).
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; degrees in Education, Counseling, Management, or related fields are an advantage.
- Prior experience in study abroad counseling, career guidance, or education services is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated learners.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate within a team, and maintain a professional, inclusive, and student-centered approach.
