Studio Head (Founder's Office)

The Design Story is a luxury bespoke furniture and interiors studio based in Delhi NCR, crafting spaces and pieces for clients who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and considered design. Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Studio Head (Founder's Office), based in New Delhi. You will be the most senior operational person in the studio below the founders — the main point of contact across design, clients, and production. You'll lead all designers, own client relationships end to end, and liaise with production, QC, and procurement to ensure delivery standards are met. This is not a passive management role — we need someone who leads with ownership, passion, and accountability every single day.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in luxury interiors, bespoke furniture, or high-end design — with a portfolio to show for it
• Proven experience leading a design team — setting direction, reviewing work, maintaining quality standards
• Strong client-facing skills — comfortable in rooms with HNI clients, able to handle briefings, presentations, and difficult conversations
• Working understanding of production and manufacturing processes — you don't need to be on the factory floor but you need to know when something is off
• Excellent communication in both Hindi and English — you'll be dealing with clients, vendors, and factory staff
• Self-driven, accountable, and passionate about craft — this role is not for someone who needs hand-holding
• Based in Delhi NCR, comfortable with occasional travel to Goa
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred
