Job Description


Role Description The Student Welfare Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Unnao campus, focused on supporting the academic, emotional, and social well-being of learners. Responsibilities include providing guidance and counselings on personal and academic concerns, addressing welfare-related issues, and connecting learners with appropriate support services. The role involves organising awareness programs, workshops, and training sessions on topics such as mental health, exclusivity, and life skills, as well as coordinating initiatives that enhance campus safety and student engagement. The Student Welfare Officer will conduct interviews or consultations with learners to understand their needs, maintain accurate records of cases and interventions, and collaborate closely with faculty, administration, and external agencies to ensure timely resolution of welfare matters. The position also includes assisting with student-related processes such as orientation, grievance handling, and, where applicable, supporting recruitment or outreach for student programs and activities.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong welfare and social services skills, including experience in student support, counselling, or community engagement.
  • Candidates should possess training-related skills, with the ability to design and deliver workshops, awareness sessions, and developmental programs for learners.
  • Candidates should possess interviewing and recruiting skills relevant to student welfare processes, such as conducting needs assessments, intake interviews, and supporting student program selection.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively with diverse student populations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field are beneficial, along with prior experience in student affairs or welfare roles.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools and AI-enabled systems for record-keeping, case management, and communication will be an advantage.
