Student Recruitment Manager UK University

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment of students fromSouth Asia (excluding Pakistan)for aUK University, ensuring alignment with institutional entry requirements and compliance standards.
  • Promote and enhance the University's brand visibility across key South Asian markets India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan through targeted student engagement activities, agent training, education fairs, and partnership development.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the region and the UK-based international recruitment and admissions teams, ensuring effective communication and coordinated operations.
  • Provide accurate and timely pre-application advice to students and agents, including guidance on documentation, entry criteria, programme selection, and compliance expectations.
  • Ensure that agent partners across the region are well-trained and consistently updated on the University's programme portfolio, admissions processes, and key deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a structured agent engagement plan, including regular market visits, performance reviews, product training sessions, and relationship-building activities.
  • Represent the University at education fairs, school outreach events, information sessions, and other promotional activities across the region to support brand visibility and student recruitment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with education agents, counsellors, schools, and other key stakeholders to help grow and sustain recruitment numbers.
  • Manage the end-to-end student recruitment pipeline, supporting applicants from enquiry to enrolment and identifying opportunities to strengthen conversion rates.
  • Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and student behaviour to provide actionable market intelligence that supports strategic planning.
  • Uphold compliance standards by ensuring applicants and agents are fully briefed on UKVI requirements, documentation standards, credibility factors, and financial guidelines.
  • Contribute to the growth of the University's reputation and market presence in South Asia through ethical, compliant, and high-quality recruitment practices.
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity and pipeline reports to the Regional Manager, outlining progress, challenges, insights, and upcoming initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimumthree years of experiencein higher education, preferably with a UK university, pathway provider, or reputable education agency.
  • Strong understanding of theSouth Asian education market(India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan), including student recruitment cycles and market behaviours.
  • Established network of schools, counsellors, and education agents within the region.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a target-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region and occasionally to the UK as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems for managing pipelines and reporting.
