Job Description

Job title : Student Management Officer

Closing Date: 22 Jun (12 noon)

Location: Jurong East Ave 1

Contract Period:
From 27/07/2026 to 26/08/2026

Option to Extend:
The Contractor grants the Authority the option to extend the Contract for a further period of thirteen (13) months from 27/08/2026 to 26/09/2027.

Working Hours

  • Mondays to Fridays: 7:15am to 4:15pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Responsibilities

1. Support School Discipline Management

  • Work closely with the school's Student Engagement and Discipline (SED) / Student Management (SM) Committee teams to support the school's overall discipline management, including implementation of positive discipline strategies.
  • Support SM committee teachers in student case management, including:
    Carrying out fact-finding and investigation by:
    Reviewing CCTV footage Interviewing teachers, staff and students where required
    Providing input on investigation focus and questions
    Preparing findings and recommendations for follow-up actions
    Maintaining related documentation and reports
  • Process late-coming students and maintain related records.
  • Support and supervise students on internal suspension or detention.
  • Locate unaccounted students when required.
  • Deter, detect and/or report inappropriate student activities, including vaping and smoking.

2. Patrol Duties and Student Supervision

  • Maintain a visible presence to promote positive student behaviour, appearance and grooming.
  • Conduct regular patrols within and outside the school compound.
  • Ensure students safety and well-being during school activities.

Areas for Patrol:

(a) School Canteen

  • Maintain order during recess and lunch breaks, including supervising students in queueing for food, and returning crockery & cutlery.
  • Manage minor conflicts and ensure safety when necessary.

(b) Free Play Areas

  • Ensure safe and appropriate use of equipment.
  • Manage and de-escalate student conflicts when necessary.

(c) Toilet Areas

  • Monitor and report inappropriate activities such as vaping or smoking.

(d) Surrounding Blocks and Nearby Community Areas

  • Deter, detect and/or report inappropriate student activities.
  • Engage relevant community stakeholders such as stall vendors, grassroots organisations and residents to support monitoring of student behaviour outside school.

3. Support School Operations & Events

  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the school management related to student management and school operations.
  • Support school events including Annual Run, Cohort Camps, Emergency Exercises and other school activities.
  • Support meetings or conferences involving students and parents.
  • Assist the Examination Committee with:
    Escort duties during examination periods.
    Invigilation support for special rooms.
  • Provide support for school administration and operations on days where students are not in school, e.g. assisting in review of safety protocols, security and emergency preparedness, facility maintenance, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for compiling incident reports and case documentation.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in youth engagement, student support, discipline management, behavioural support, or case management.
  • Experience in managing or supervising teenagers in disciplinary proceedings or behavioural intervention will be an advantage.
  • Experience in structured environments such as schools, youth organisations, or other settings involving youth management will be an advantage.
