Job Description for Academy Counsellor and sales:
As a Makeup Academy Counsellor and Manager, you will play a crucial role in generating & closing enrolments, providing guidance and support to students enrolled in our makeup artistry programs. You will also be responsible for managing the overall operations of the academy to ensure a smooth learning experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Counselling:
• Conduct counselling sessions for prospective students to understand their goals and interests in makeup artistry.
• Explaining the benefits & prospects of doing the course from our school to ensure maximization of enrolments.
• Provide information about the academy's programs, curriculum, and career opportunities in the makeup industry.
• Assist students in selecting the appropriate courses based on their skill level and career aspirations.
• Address any concerns or queries that students may have regarding the coursework, schedules, or other aspects of their training.
Academic Guidance:
• Work closely with instructors to monitor students progress and performance in their makeup courses.
• Highlight any required academic support and guidance to students who may be facing challenges or require extra assistance.
• Monitor discipline & highlight any in-disciplinary events to take necessary action.
Administrative Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the makeup academy, including scheduling classes, managing resources, and maintaining facilities.
• Handle student enrolment, registration, and fee payments in coordination with the administrative staff.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other academic-related data.
• Prepare reports on student retention rates, course completion rates, and overall academy performance.
Career Development:
• Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enhance students industry knowledge and professional skills.
• Facilitate networking opportunities for students to connect with makeup artists, industry professionals, and potential employers.
• Assist students in creating portfolios, resumes, and job applications to prepare them for entry into the workforce.
Marketing and Promotion:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for promoting the academy's programs and attracting new students.
• Participate in recruitment events, industry conferences, and trade shows to showcase the academy's offerings.
• Utilize social media platforms, websites, and other digital channels to engage with current students and reach out to potential candidates.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience in academic counselling, career advising, or educational management, preferably in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of makeup artistry techniques, products, and trends.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, student management software, and social media platforms.
