Job Title: Student Counsellor & PGT Psychology Teacher (F)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Counsellor & PGT Psychology Teacher to support the academic, emotional, social, and psychological well-being of students in a CBSE residential school environment. The candidate will be responsible for providing professional counselling services, teaching Psychology to Senior Secondary students (Classes XI-XII), and fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students facing academic, emotional, behavioral, social, or personal challenges.
  • Conduct assessments and identify students requiring psychological support or intervention.
  • Develop and implement student wellness, life skills, stress management, and mental health awareness programs.
  • Address issues related to adolescence, self-esteem, peer relationships, anxiety, homesickness, and adjustment in a residential school setting.
  • Maintain confidential student records and counselling documentation.
  • Teach Psychology to Classes XI and XII in accordance with CBSE curriculum guidelines.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and practical activities.
  • Support students overall development within the residential campus.
  • Participate in school events, parent interactions, staff meetings, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Psychology (M.A./M.Sc. Psychology) from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed. qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a School Counsellor and/or PGT Psychology Teacher.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counselling skills.
  • Experience working in CBSE residential/boarding schools.
