Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager - Admissions Overseas Study. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the field of overseas education, maintaining relationships with current and potential partners, and increasing student enrollments. Tasks include developing and implementing strategic plans, conducting market research, providing counseling to prospective students, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful admissions and student satisfaction.
Student Recruitment & Counselling
- Guide prospective students and parents on study opportunities, courses, visa pathways, and career outcomes in Australia
- Conduct high-quality counselling sessions (online & in-person) with a strong conversion focus
- Assess student eligibility and recommend suitable study pathways aligned with migration and career goals
- Maintain a strong follow-up system to convert enquiries into enrolments
Agent & Partner Development
- Build, manage, and grow a network of high-performing education agents across India
- Conduct regular training, webinars, and engagement sessions with agents
- Identify new business opportunities in Tier 1, 2, and emerging markets
- Ensure partners are aligned with compliance and ethical recruitment practices
Pipeline & Conversion Management
- Manage the full student lifecycle: enquiry → application → offer → visa → enrolment
- Track and report on leads, conversion rates, and pipeline performance
- Work closely with admissions and compliance teams to ensure smooth processing
- Use CRM systems effectively to manage and nurture leads
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute targeted campaigns (digital, events, influencer partnerships)
- Support localized content creation for the India market
- Assist in organizing seminars, school visits, and promotional events
Qualifications
- Strong business development, strategic planning, and market research skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Experience in the education sector, preferably in overseas admissions
- Ability to counsel and guide students on education opportunities abroad
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work independently
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Knowledge of various global education systems and admission processes is a plus
