Job Summary:
The Structural Designer & Analyst is responsible for designing, analysing, and optimizing precast concrete structures, ensuring structural integrity, safety, cost efficiency, and compliance with relevant codes and project requirements. The role involves preparing detailed structural designs, performing structural analysis, coordinating with architects, production teams, and clients, and providing technical support during manufacturing and erection.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare structural designs and analysis for precast elements (beams, slabs, walls, columns, staircases, Box Culverts, Drains, Hume Pipes, etc.) in line with project requirements.
Conduct structural modelling and analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD Pro)
Ensure designs comply with relevant Indian Standard.
Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, durability, and ease of precast production/erection.
Prepare and review detailed design drawings, reinforcement detailing, and shop drawings.
Coordinate with architects, project managers, and plant teams to align design with production capabilities and site constraints.
Provide technical support during precast manufacturing and on-site installation.
Review and approve structural calculations, reports, and drawings before submission.
Support value engineering initiatives and continuous improvement in design practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
3-5 years of experience in structural design, with exposure to precast structures is preferable.
Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
Knowledge of precast manufacturing and erection processes.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.
