Job description

Position: Structural Engineer

Experience: 5+ Years

Industry: Railway Infrastructure / Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, and supervise construction of railway infrastructure projects including:
• Minor Bridges
• Major Bridges
• Railway Platforms
• Station Buildings
• Retaining Walls
• Culverts and Associated Structures

• Review structural drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and railway standards.
• Coordinate with design consultants, project managers, site engineers, and contractors for smooth project execution.
• Monitor construction activities at site and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct structural inspections and quality checks for concrete, steel, and foundation works.
• Verify quantities, prepare technical reports, and assist in project planning and scheduling.
• Review and approve shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and construction methodologies.
• Identify structural issues and provide technical solutions during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Railways, RDSO, IRC, IS Codes, and other applicable standards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to management.
• Support tendering, estimation, and bid preparation activities when required.
