Structural Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and review contractors coordinated shop drawings against Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings for compliance with design intent.
• Review contractor and subcontractor calculations for permanent works elements and connections per design specifications.
• Review subcontractors structural/civil shop drawings in coordination with building services engineers.
• Review subcontractors construction method statements, test results, and material submittals for new permanent works or remedial works.
• Evaluate subcontractors structural/civil material proposals for compliance with technical performance requirements.
• Attend project meetings related to structural/civil technical items.
• Ensure compliance with the design subcontractor's specified technical requirements.
• Respond to RFIs in consultation with design teams.
• Write site visit reports and maintain logs of work.
• Assist design teams in updating technical specifications based on site insights.
• Visit multiple sites and represent Buro Happold in site meetings as a BH ambassador.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (BEng) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in structural site engineering.
• Proven track record in delivering complex, large, and tall building projects.
• Experience with site quality assurance and adherence to technical requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with office-based design teams.
• Broad site knowledge across a range of project types.
• Experience in leading technical and project teams.
• Exposure to projects in India, the Middle East, or other international locations.
