Structural Engineer

Zentech India is hiring Structural Engineers with an B.Tech,M.Tech or Ph.D. qualification to strengthen its engineering team in Mumbai.

Zentech established in 1997, Zentech India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zentech Incorporated, Houston, a design and consulting engineering firm that has served the offshore, marine and oil and gas industries for more than four decades.

Zentech's multidisciplinary team of over 150 professionals worldwide includes structural, civil, mechanical, marine, electrical and process engineers, naval architects, project and construction management professionals, software engineers and designers. Zentech India currently has a team of approximately 50 professionals and functions as an important engineering delivery centre for the group's international projects.

Structural Engineer

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Employment: Full-time

Work arrangement: On-site

Role responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for offshore, marine and energy-sector projects.

• Support static and dynamic analysis of engineering structures.

• Develop, review and interpret structural models, engineering calculations and technical reports.

• Apply finite element analysis methods, where required.

• Work with Zentech's multidisciplinary engineering teams in India and overseas.

• Present engineering findings and calculations clearly to senior engineers and project teams.

Required qualifications

• M.Tech or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering.

• Academic background in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Strong understanding of structural analysis and structural dynamics.

• Excellent academic record and sound engineering fundamentals.

• Good analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Academic, research or professional exposure to finite element analysis.

• Familiarity with structural modelling and analysis software.

• Thesis, research or project experience involving structural dynamics, advanced structural analysis or finite element methods.

• Interest in applying academic and research knowledge to industrial engineering projects.

Selection process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an in-person interview at Zentech India's Mumbai office. Reasonable travel expenses for candidates invited to Mumbai for the interview will be reimbursed by the company.
