The Role
As a Structural Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc
Responsibilities
- To produce structural/system models on Sesam GeniE, FEMAP, STAAD-Pro, and SACS. Also, should have fair knowledge in developing the local calculations using spreadsheets/Mathcad etc.
- Knowledge of writing Java scripts for Sesam GeniE is preferred.
- Structural analysis for New platform/ platform modification.
- Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
- Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
- Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
- Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements.
- Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
- Applicants require experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi discipline project team.
- The role mandates previous experience in minimum facility platform design and including the substructure, topsides and bridges.
- A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in the areas of dynamic loading, collapse analysis, spectral fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, dropped object etc.
- Conversant with API, DNV, AISC, BS codes.
What You Will Bring
Technical and Industry Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of SACS suite of software experience is essential.
- Matching Indicators
- More than 5 years of Experience, min 5 years experience conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design of substructure, deck, and bridges. Offshore projects - Fixed offshore Platforms/ FPSO / FLNG is mandatory.
- Experience in Jacket design will be an added advantage.
- 5+ years Oil and Gas Industry experience.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required
- A recognized B.Tech/M.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
