Job Description Structural Engineer
Conduct structural analysis and design of facade systems, including curtain walls, windows, cladding, and other building envelope components.
Use engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD) to model, analyze, and design structural components.
Develop detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
The responsibilities include performing detailed structural analysis, conducting calculations, collaborating on facade design projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineers to integrate facade systems seamlessly with the overall building design.
Provide technical guidance and support during the design phase, ensuring that structural aspects are fully coordinated with architectural and mechanical systems.
Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and design documentation from subcontractors and suppliers.
The engineer will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable, and efficient solutions for various architectural projects, from high-rise buildings to commercial and mixed-use developments.
Ensure all designs and engineering solutions comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
Perform quality checks and reviews of design documents, calculations, and project deliverables to maintain high standards of accuracy and safety.
Prepare and maintain technical reports, documentation, and records related to design, analysis, and compliance.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, and applying engineering principles effectively
Expertise in Structural Analysis and Calculations with a focus on precision and compliance
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to develop and revise technical drawings
Effective problem-solving and project management skills
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage complex project requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Experience in facade engineering or related projects is highly desirable
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and safety standards is a plus
