Structural Designer

Role Description The Structural Designer role at SB Associates is a full-time, on-site position located in Tambaram. The Structural Designer will prepare and review structural designs and construction drawings for various building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities include collaborating with civil and structural engineers, using CAD tools to develop detailed layouts and reinforcement plans, and performing design checks for steel and concrete structures. The role involves coordinating with project managers, contributing to feasibility assessments, resolving design-related issues during execution, and maintaining accurate documentation to support quality assurance and audits.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering skills, with knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing detailed structural and construction drawings.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Construction Drawings, including reinforcement detailing and preparation of plans, sections, and elevations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Steel Design, including analysis and design of steel structures and connections.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects in a consultancy or construction environment.
• Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings and coordinate structural designs accordingly.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
