Job description
Lead and guide a design team in creating detailed 3D MEP support models using Revit, STAAD, Navisworks & AutoCAD.
Ensure quality, coordination, QA/QC compliance, and timely delivery.
Mentoring team members and managing client communication.
Required Candidate profile
B.Tech/B.E. (Mech/Civil), M.Tech preferred
5+ yrs in Revit MEP modeling with AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360
Strong leadership, QAQC, coordination & communication
PEB/structural design experience is a plus.
Role & responsibilities:
- Lead a team of designers and modelers to create detailed 3D models and drawings for structural supports for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems, including plans, single-line diagrams, sections, and elevations using Staad, Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
- Review client inputs, define project scope, and ensure alignment with design intent while planning and delegating work across the team.
- Provide technical guidance to team members to enhance productivity and skills.
- Collaborate with the BIM/CAD team to meet project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Facilitate coordination between the team and other discipline leads, designers, and engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Oversee the development of clash-free 3D models in Revit and ensure the creation of custom Revit families when required.
- Validate and approve Shop/Installation Drawings derived from coordinated models.
- Monitor project progress, proactively address risks, and provide updates to Discipline Leads, Project Managers, or Project Leads.
- Stay informed about technical advancements and integrate relevant updates into team workflows.
- Represent the team in project meetings and client calls, fostering clear communication and effective problem-solving.
- Ensure adherence to company QAQC processes, BIM protocols, and safety standards.
- Identify training and development opportunities for team members to enhance performance and career growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Manage off-hours coordination with clients as needed and delegate responsibilities effectively.
