Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Design Engineer with a technical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and analyzing structural systems for residential buildings, canopies, and industrial staircases, while ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and codes. The role requires proficiency in structural analysis, detailed design, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient structural solutions.Key

Responsibilities:

• Structural Analysis and Design: Conduct structural analysis and design for residential buildings, canopies, and industrial staircases, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
• Preparation of Structural Documentation: Develop accurate structural calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with ASCE 7, IBC, NFPA 13, and AISC 360 standards.
• Load Calculations and Structural Analysis: Perform load calculations for wind, seismic, live loads, and others per ASCE 7.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors for integrated structural solutions.
• Structural Detailing and Drafting: Provide structural detailing and ensure accurate drafting in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant tools.
• Code Compliance and Safety Standards: Ensure designs comply with local building codes, permit requirements, and safety standards.
• Shop Drawings and Submittals Review: Review shop drawings for fabrication and construction to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Structural Assessment and Recommendations: Perform assessments for existing buildings and recommend necessary reinforcements or modifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, focusing on residential, canopy, and egress stair design.
• Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, NFPA 13, AISC 360, and other relevant standards.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with design software like SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, RAM, or RISA.
• Drafting Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools for structural detailing.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for load calculations and structural assessments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to address design challenges and adapt to evolving project requirements.
