Responsibilities/Skillsets:
- Hands on experience in analysis design of steel components in buildings like high-rises, stadiums, pedestrian bridges, airports, malls, industrial sheds etc.
- Knowledge of international Codes and Standards
- Understanding of loads & load paths
- Understanding of Seismic and Wind load parameters with code design approaches
- Knowledge of various steel profiles used internationally.
- Knowledge about Steel connections to concrete.
- Ability to work in a team, lead a team of junior engineers and technicians to deliver quality drawings and documents.
- Preparation of technical reports & presentations
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities
- Prepare Design criteria reports, presentations.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills in English.
- Should be open for short travel and deputation to other countries/offices, when required.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Exposure to construction techniques and practices
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings of other trades – Architectural, MEP etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering problems encountered during design process.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends.
Requirements:
- Candidate should have core design experience of 3+ years mainly in design of steel structures.
- Good experience of using software like SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD-Pro, Idea Statica, Ram connection, Limcon etc.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD
- Work experience in Gulf countries with international codes preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in structural engineering from reputed institute preferably through GATE qualification
