Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Structural Design Engineer, located in Chennai. The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing structural components for various projects, ensuring they comply with safety, aesthetic, and regulatory standards. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing detailed drawings and reports, conducting material assessments, and ensuring project milestones are met within allocated budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including STAAD.Pro or Tekla
• knowledge on design of prefabricated components like steel channels
• BIM knowledge is an added advantage
• Knowledge of material properties, load calculations, and construction methodologies
• Experience in creating detailed drawings using CAD tools and interpreting technical blueprints
• Strong understanding of project management principles and construction codes
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
• Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client interactions
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree is a plus)
• Professional engineering certification and familiarity with international and local building codes are advantageous
