Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. This role requires 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience and offers both part-time and full-time employment options. As part of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in enhancing patients recovery journey through specialized rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Neuromuscular Re-Education (Mandatory skill) to facilitate motor control and coordination for stroke patients.
  • ADL Training (Mandatory skill) to assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring a smoother transition towards independence.
  • Gait Training (Mandatory skill) for improving patients walking abilities, using both assistive devices and therapeutic exercises.
  • Patient Assessment skills to evaluate and document patients rehabilitation needs and progress effectively.
  • Therapeutic Exercise knowledge to develop customized exercise programs aimed at enhancing patients physical function and mobility.
  • Proficiency with Assistive Devices to support patient mobility and ensure safe and effective usage as per individual needs.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration skills to work seamlessly with other healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
  • Understanding of Range of Motion exercises to help patients restore and maintain joint flexibility and performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess stroke patients physical status to determine suitable rehabilitation strategies.
  • Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs and abilities.
  • Conduct rehabilitation sessions focused on neuromuscular re-education, ADL training, and gait improvement.
  • Utilize therapeutic exercises and assistive devices effectively to improve patient outcomes.
  • Track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation processes and home care strategies.
  • Stay updated with advancements in stroke rehabilitation techniques and integrate best practices into patient care.
