Job Description

Role Purpose

• Support inorganic growth by managing M&A pipelines, potential start-up identifications, conducting due diligence, and assisting in deal structuring and closure

• Devise, plan and activate post-merger integration along with requisite internal or external teams.

• Be part of Strategy team to work on other major activities like Strategic Planning, Strategic Transformations, etc. Key Responsibilities

• Screen potential M &A targets (including Start-ups) aligned with corporate growth strategy and focus

• Identify suitable partners for conducting DDs, deal structuring and negotiations

• Develop hypothesis, business cases, scenarios, financial models and valuations to help investment decisions

• Conduct commercial and strategic due diligence across brand strength, financials, synergies, and risks

• Assist in deal structuring, negotiation support, and leadership communication

• Support post-merger integration (PMI) activities, ensuring synergy realization and cultural alignment

• Be part of Strategy team to work on Strategic Planning and related activities

• Involve, support and drive Strategic Transformations, as appropriate

Required Technical Competencies

• Tracking M&A spaces and activities & Competitive intelligence gathering

• Mergers & acquisitions expertise

• Due Diligence – Financial, Tax, Commercial, Legal, etc

• Strategic foresight & scenario planning, business case development

• Capital allocation & portfolio management

• Data analytics for strategic decision-making

• Strategic partnership development

• Regulatory & compliance strategy

• Advanced financial modelling & valuation

• Regulatory & antitrust for transactions

Qualifications

• MBA, CA, CFA, or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline

• Strong academic foundation in corporate finance, valuation, and strategy

• Any relevant certifications would be desirable

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting

• Hands-on experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation

• Exposure to deal structuring and post-merger integration preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
