Assistant Vice President

Background:

This role is part of the Controllership Strategy & Execution team and is responsible for supporting the strategic priorities for the Controllership team. Working closely with Controllership and Finance leadership, the role enables strong execution discipline across headcount planning, productivity, and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment to broader Finance transformation objectives.

The position is based in Bengaluru, India.

Role Scope:

  • Support the endtoend budgeting and headcount planning processes for Controllership, including annual planning cycles, forecasts, and management reporting, in partnership with Controllership leadership and Finance stakeholders.
  • Drive execution of productivity and efficiency initiatives under the Controllership strategy, including tracking of benefits realization, milestones, and dependencies, and ensuring alignment with enterprise Finance transformation goals.
  • Provide analytical and execution support through ongoing assessment of resource requirements, key risks, dependencies and assumptions to enable informed decisionmaking by senior leaders.
  • Track and monitor workforce metrics including hiring, attrition, capacity, and utilization through welldefined dashboards, ensuring transparency and proactive management of workforce trends.
  • Design, maintain, and deliver structured reporting to provide regular, datadriven updates to Controllership and Finance leadership on resourcing, productivity, and transformation progress.
  • Partner with Controllership leaders on employee engagement initiatives, supporting planning and execution of programs focused on talent retention, morale, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader Strategy & Execution team, contributing to governance forums, execution cadence, and continuous improvement of planning and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor/master's degree in finance or MBA
  • 10+ years of progressive career in line Finance roles at a financial institution in a Controllership, FP&A and Change Management roles
  • Prior company-wide ownership of financial processes in a financial institution - close and consolidation, ledger and sub-ledger processes, master data management, risks and controls framework is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advance levels of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices)
  • Knowledge of Spotfire, Tableau, Cognos data analytics and visualization (or similar) a plus
