The Role
The Strategy and Operations Manager will drive internal strategy execution, business operations, and cross-functional initiatives at JoVE, ensuring strategy translates into execution through data, systems, and AI-led automation.
Responsibilities
- Own the OKR framework across the organizationplanning, tracking, and reviews.
- Translate company strategy into clear execution plans with measurable outcomes.
- Build and maintain business dashboards, Excel models, and leadership reports.
- Analyze growth, efficiency, unit economics, and operational bottlenecks.
- Support strategic decision-making with structured, data-backed recommendations.
- Act as PMO owner for high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives move from intent execution measurable outcomes.
- Build automations using AI tools and no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier).
- Build ROI, scenario, and impact analyses to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and trade-offs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years in pre-consulting or consulting experience in strategy, BizOps, operations, or internal consulting roles.
- Experience in product-led startups or scale-ups, working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Proven experience running cross-functional initiatives, including operating as a BizOps or PMO owner.
- Hands-on experience with performance management frameworks, such as OKRs, KPIs, and business reviews.
- Comfortable working closely with senior leadership, supporting decision-making and driving execution across teams.
- Self-driven, results oriented and thrives in a fast paced environment.
Technical Skills
- Business Intelligence: Power BI (or equivalent BI tools)
- Data & Analysis: Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
- Programming: Working knowledge of SQL or Python
- Automation: n8n, Make, Zapier (or similar)
- AI Tools: LLMs and AI-assisted productivity tools
