About the Role

As a Strategy Analyst - Legal & Compliance, your responsibilities will include ensuring that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements under the Companies Act, 2013 and other applicable laws. You will serve as a key link between the management and regulatory authorities, and play a pivotal role in corporate governance and board support.

What will you do

Contracts & Agreements

  • Maintain a contract repository and ensure timely renewals.
  • Coordinate with legal counsels in the contract negotiation, review and execution

Compliance & Policies

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable laws, including data privacy, Healthtech regulations, and company policies.
  • Support in drafting and updating internal company policies, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), and other applicable laws.
  • Handle Registrar of Companies (ROC) filings and Statutory forms
  • Maintain statutory registers and records as per the Companies Act requirements.
  • Manage the compliance calendar to ensure all statutory deadlines are met.

Documentation & Filing

  • Maintain proper documentation of legal files, regulatory licenses, notices, and correspondence.
  • Assist in responding to legal queries from internal stakeholders.

Regulatory & Policy Research

  • Conduct Policy & regulatory research on evolving regulations in Healthtech, data protection, intellectual property, labor laws, etc.
  • Summarize findings and update internal teams accordingly.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with HR, Strategy, Product, and Finance teams for contract compliance, internal queries, and risk assessments.
  • Work with external legal counsel on case matters and due diligence processes when required.
  • Provide guidance and support to directors and senior management on corporate governance and secretarial matters.

Who are we looking for

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in law or Business Administration from a recognized university.
  • 2+ years of experience as a legal, compliance or regulatory departments or bodies.
  • Hands-on involvement in policy creation, audits, training sessions, or investigations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCEP, CRCM, or the ICA Certificate in Compliance are considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulations and governance principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and legal drafting skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document tracking tools is a plus.
