Position name: Strategic Sourcing Lead – Supply Chain
Experience required: (5-8) years
Educational qualification: BE & MBA
Preferred industry: Avionics / Electronics / UAV background
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for avionics, electronics, and UAV subsystems
- Drive supplier identification, evaluation, and development for critical technologies
- Lead cost optimization and value engineering for high value / high-volume components
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and long-term contracts
- Mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity, quality, and compliance
- The focus of Strategic sourcing is more towards developing BOM for new projects, vendor identification & development for new components, finding more economical options of high volume/ value items, work with engineering team for obsolescence management.
- The individual will be more business oriented than routine purchase order placements and will have good combination of engineering and material management skills in a fast paced & agile environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Relevant candidates are those with (5–8) years in strategic sourcing / supply chain, with strong exposure to electronics / avionics domain
- Experience in engineering component (electrical, electronics, metallic) & assembly sourcing, new vendor identification & price negotiation, imported items. BOM mapping, obsolescence management, SAP MM module & analytical strength.
- Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier development skills
