The Impact you will have in this role:

This role is responsible for driving the execution and contributing to the development of the company's overall IT Sourcing strategy (including HW, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services). This role will drive sourcing execution across the IT portfolio and partner closely with IT leadership to continuously drive value for the organization. The IT Sourcing Director will collaborate across the organization with Finance, Legal, Third-Party Risk, HR, Procurement Ops, and various IT stakeholders to identify and execute on strategic sourcing value and risk mitigation opportunities.


Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT stakeholders to create a sourcing strategy that aligns with the needs of the business while meeting financial and operational control objectives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key vendors, fostering strategic partnerships that enable continuous value delivery.
  • Lead complex, high-value sourcing initiatives and negotiations across strategic IT categories, ensuring alignment with financial, risk, and operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and systems across the IT sourcing portfolio.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing (including RFx), contracting, and downstream procurement workflow.
  • Pro-actively manage renewals to drive savings and mitigate business disruptions.
  • Promote the sourcing and procurement function to ensure business owners understand Sourcing's value proposition and how to effectively partner with the Sourcing team.
  • Lead value driven QBRs for key IT vendors.
  • Leverage spend and contract data to identify savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Maximize the impact of sourcing levers, including spend analysis, RFx tools and templates, contract management, and preferred supplier programs.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance sourcing KPIs, reporting frameworks, and operating processes to drive continuous improvement and maturity across the IT sourcing function.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders and other key partners to ensure the Sourcing model continually meets the changing needs of the organization.
  • Continuously develop subject matter expertise via benchmarking/research, industry/peer collaboration, training, and client feedback.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop less experienced members of the sourcing team.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Minimum of 10 years of IT Strategic Sourcing at a global organization, preferably in financial services.
  • Deep experience with IT category management, sourcing opportunity assessment, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Proven success developing RFXs and negotiating HW, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services contracts.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT vendors as well as emerging technology providers.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex sourcing and contractual concepts into terms that can be understood by business, legal, finance, and risk stakeholders.

The Corporate Procurement Services department partners with stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing, procurement, and contracting strategies that protect DTCC and maximize value creation with our suppliers. In addition, we aim to create an attractive and engaging environment for team members at all levels to grow and develop as professionals.
